Colour

Most diamonds range in colour from white to slightly yellow. However, diamonds can occur in all sorts of colours ranging from brownish to striking yellow, pink, purple, red and blue. These are called ‘fancy colours’. 

Above is a chart to explain the colour grading of diamonds, to the top specification of GIA (Gemological Institute of America).

D being the highest colour grade as pure white down to Z.

Wards are known for using the best D grade diamonds in their jewellery.
